Acorn & Mystery
Acorn & Mystery are a bonded pair of cats available for adoption at Catoro Cat Cafe in East Vancouver.
Acorn is a female domestic shorthair tuxedo cat. Mystery is a male domestic shorthair black cat with white.
Acorn & Mystery did not arrive at Catoro bonded - but they did fall in love here. Acorn and Mystery love to snuggle and groom each other. They provide a calming presence for each other and must be adopted together.
About Mystery
Mystery is shy when it comes to crowds so you won't see him in the forest very often - but when you venture in the back to meet him you will see he's the perfect companion.
Mystery was rescued from the Hail Mary's beer shed in December 2024. He was found with a huge clot of blood over one of his eyes in very serious condition. We rushed this skinny, scared stray cat to the emergency vet to get him the care he desperately needed. Luckily, his eye was discovered in perfect condition. However, he was severely anemic and required an urgent blood transfusion to save his life. He was in very critical condition for several days but luckily he is a fighter and his health started to slowly improve.
After a total of 8 nights at the emergency vet, Mystery was discharged and placed in a medical foster so he could recover. He was only 3.12 kg, which was very underweight for his frame. He has since made a full recovery and is full of life and love with no lasting medical conditions.
As we have gotten to know Mystery, it breaks our hearts to know how hard his life was. He is the most sweet, gentle and affectionate cat. He is a love bug who wants to snuggle with you and is obsessed with having his belly rubbed. He loves to chase around a laser pointer and roll around in catnip. Any adopter would be lucky to welcome Mystery into their family.

About Acorn
Acorn is a black and white tuxedo domestic shorthair cat. She is a shy but sweet and affectionate mom of 4 who has wrapped up her duties of motherhood and is looking to be doted on for the rest of her life.
Acorn was originally trapped with the intention to TNR (trap, neuter, release) but it was discovered shortly after she was spayed that she had a litter of young kittens to care for! She was returned to her family and gathered all her babies up to move them to a new location. There, she was found by a community member who was taking care of the neighbourhood's feral cats and brought into rescue for a second time - this time with her babies Pistachio, Cashew, Filbert and Peanut.
Acorn was too friendly to go back to the streets and her young kits showed signs of being open to socialization, so now they have come to Catoro for further socialization and adoption! Acorn has opened up tremendously to us, and is now a major attention hog! If you bend down to pet another cat, Acorn will appear out of nowhere to shove herself between you. She's still very playful and loves to wrestle with other cats and chase a laser dot.
